PTIU (Position Tracking Interface Unit) . Our first production system.
A custom controller designed and manufactured by HKI for WhereNet/Zebra Enterprise Solutions and Navis (a Cargotec Company).
The PTIU interfaces to UTRs, Tophandlers, Sidehandlers, and RTGs as an "electronic baton" to track container placement and location in marine terminals.
This enables with Cargotec/Navis TOS Software amd tag location technology (RTLS) to determine in real-time container location inventory.

All EIU control units are rated for marine use and are coated with an anti oxidation coating. The boards are tested and rated for diesel engine mount environments, with isolation from high noise electrical environments.
In addition to the rugged capabilities of the EIU, there are also several features the control unit has on the board that are accessible by maintenance personnel or the end user for troubleshooting. These include diagnostic ports, one touch calibration, and an LCD display that displays a host of information for testing and monitoring the status of attached sensors connected to the EIU. Figure 6 below shows a typical EIU board and its features.
